To get some conversation going, I thought I'd ask where is everyone from and what path of Paganism do you follow?

I've lived in Durham Region all of my life. I was born in Oshawa, and moved to Whitby about 10 years ago.

I was raised Roman Catholic, but found Wicca when I was 20. I followed a solitary path and have found it fulfilling. As of late, I have found myself drawn to Djehuty (Thoth). I've been learning everything I can about Him, and it was through my research that I found the Kemetic groups. They attempt to recreate and live the faith of Ancient Egypt. Egypt was known as Kemet in ancient times; hence the name of the groups.

After reading about the various temples, I felt that the House of Netjer (Kemetic Orthodoxy) was the best choice for me. I applied for the Beginners' class (which is conducted online), and am presently in the current class that started in June.

I'm Melissa, I live in Oshawa for 8 months of the year, and the City of Kawartha Lakes during the other 4 months (and holidays). I'm attending Durham College's Multimedia Design program, entering my 2nd year.

My parents didn't raise me under any certain religion. Mum's Catholic, and my father comes from an Anglican family. I started reading about Wicca ... two years ago... and have gone on to learn about several different paths in the neverending search to figure out what's right for me. At the moment, I'm an eclectic Pagan who seems to be being led toward Buddhism. I have always been fascinated by Ancient Egypt and Her Gods, so I have done some learning in that area. At the same token, I thoroughly enjoy Eastern thought and wisdom. Either way, I would be happy. At the moment I'm studying what I can in hopes of finding a good teacher when the time comes.

What will be will be.
